ECO321/ECO620 – Empirical Research Methods in Economics

A jointly-offered course training students in the causal inference methods at the core of modern applied microeconomics — randomized controlled trials, difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, and regression discontinuity design — with an emphasis on identification over statistical formalism. The course is designed to be field-agnostic: applications span development, health, education, labor, environment, and finance.
ECO220 – Econometrics
Undergraduate | Monsoon 2025, Monsoon 2024
An intermediate course covering the statistical foundations of empirical economics, including ordinary least squares, the classical linear model, hypothesis testing, and violations of classical assumptions. Assessments combine theoretical derivation with applied data analysis using Stata.
